As a result of the October 1st, 2017 domestic terrorist incident in Las Vegas, Golden State Lifeguards has developed a course for citizens that aims to empower people to be more than just bystanders. This course will teach people to act when people are injured and bleeding from injuries sustained in a terrorist attack. This training will also be valuable in other types of scenarios such as motor vehicle accidents or even violent assaults.
Why citizen responders? As we saw in Las Vegas the first ones to assist were the citizens who were in the thick of things during and after the shooting. They were the ones on the ground before police and fire units could arrive on scene. Due to the heroic actions of so many citizens, lives were saved.
We want to pass on lifesaving training that can save lives. Are you ready?
