Join Our Elite Team of Pool Lifeguards!
If you meet the minimum requirements for the Pool Lifeguard position and your application is approved, you will be notified and given further instructions for your initial interview and tryout.
Position Details
- Experienced Pool Lifeguards: Part-Time, On-Call — $26.00 per hour + tips + mileage (verifiable experience required)
- New Pool Lifeguard Candidates (No Experience): Part-Time, On-Call — $22.00 per hour + tips + mileage (must pass our Lifeguard Academy)
Note: Pool Lifeguard Candidates without experience must successfully complete a 30-hour Lifeguard Academy (Pass/Fail) before being offered employment.
Important Information
- Year-round, part-time opportunities available
- Must be available weekends and holidays (Spring Break, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
- Strict adherence to uniform standards and company policies is required
- Annual swim performance test must be passed to retain employment
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen (We do not sponsor H-1B visas)
- Must reside in Southern California (year-round or temporary summer resident)
- Must be 18 years or older (21+ strongly preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check (criminal history included)
- Must pass all swim tests and physical fitness standards
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License
- Commitment to work weekends and holidays
Required Certifications (for Current Lifeguards)
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers OR American Heart Association CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with R24 update and Title 22
- California Mandated Reporter Certificate (can be obtained online)
Highly Desirable (But Not Required)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification (NREMT)
- Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification
