Production Set Water Safety Services to Resume

On Sunday, September 19, 2022 it was reported that Biden stated the pandemic is over during an interview on 60 Minutes.

President Biden said the COVID-19 pandemic is “over” in the United States.

“The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with COVID. We’re still doing a lotta work on it. … But the pandemic is over,” Mr. Biden said.

In light of this new declaration and after careful consideration, we have decided to resume production set safety services to Southern California productions filming on the beach, in swimming pools or on yachts.

Since 2006 we have been providing the most professional non-union water safety services to the Southern California region and have worked on most of the popular reality shows. In 2020, when Hollywood shut down, things came to a dead stop however once Hollywood was given some latitude to resume is when we realized that we needed to stand our ground and cease all operations until further notice.

Once we realized that productions were making life difficult with daily testing and masking mandates is when we decided that we would not offer our services until the mandates were shelved. One of the issues we had was being asked to drive out of the way to some place to get tested and this was a really big inconvenience to our staff. We also from day one never thought that masks would work and we were not about to wear masks on on set which was usually outside by a pool or on the beach. We decided that we would not comply.

We also ceased services due to what we call “gestapo” covid compliance officers who were basically a bunch of P.A.’s who took an online course to get a piece of paper they thought gave them permission to pounce on cast & crew. They were on many occasions verbally abusive and had overstepped their boundaries. These were not medically trained individuals and that for us was a red flag. There were numerous times we had run ins with these individuals and heated arguments ensued.

Within the last six months we have been closely monitoring and supporting the activities of Hollywood4Freedom and for the last 2 years following Firefighters4Freedom. We are calling on Southern California productions to finally drop the mandates and get people working at pre-pandemic levels. The only caveat is that if we are asked to do testing or masking, we will gladly decline our services to that particular production.
